Now now, who hasn’t heard of this beauty, hmm~? Fortuna is quite a prestigious and successful woman despite all that had happened to her! Her talent of appraising - especially when it comes down to items that are worthless or forged - is unmatched throughout America if not the entire world! With her popularity and fame, it is known that in order to get her to appraise a painting or an ancient ring, one needs to wait a long time or cash out some money for her to ‘free up’ her very busy schedule.

However, while she is rather famous and well-off now, it wasn’t always like this… While she now owns her own pawnshop under the name of ‘Fortuna’s Fortunes for All’, that store once belonged to Jerome Silver and his son, Mason Silver. One day though, Jerome was found dead, causing the business to fall into Mason’s hands. It is unknown what sort of relation Mason and Fortuna had, but it is known that after three years since the accident, he had given her all the rights to the company as he left for Europe, to pursue his dreams.

Since then, Fortuna has expanded the business to few different states in America, resulting in over 34 branches! It is obvious that she has the skill to operate at the top of such ludicrous business, but she’s also known as a ‘Protector of the Gullible’ due to her inputs at catching scammers throughout America and even abroad!

For a lady like her to be so successful… It is not confusing why a lot of people flock to her and aspire to be like her~

Appearance

Fortuna is a woman of pure beauty and grace; whoever would look at her could describe her as such, often stunned with her appearance and how well she can keep herself maintained and up to the standard that her fame gave her. Her appearance screams of how much she cares about her image, while also suggesting just how over the top she tends to be: nothing in her appearance is ever ‘off’ and she always makes sure that she looks her best for whatever occasion she would be preparing herself for.

Fortuna’s hair is silky and smooth in touch, and is one of her calling cards in the context of appearance; with how shiny and flowy it is, whoever would see her black hairstyle reaching roughly the middle of her back could guess just how much time she spends on maintaining it to the highest quality possibly - just like her services are of the utmost quality. Furthermore, she wears a small, slightly leaning to the side, black-and-blue hat on her right, with a big ribbon of the same colour and feathers. Her face is of a light, pinkish colour with an eye-catching, sparkling eye that has the colours going down from dark violet to a bright yellow gradient. Although, that is all that can be seen, as her left part of the face is covered by a blue mask with yellow outlines and black eye-piece and more feathers - this time coloured in deep noir.

Going down, she wears a rather extravagant and monochrome attire on her slim and curvy body. She wears a cotton shirt that reaches to her elbows, where it ends with a golden ribbon as the end of the sleeve puffs up and ends with a slightly wavy texture; she also wears a silver bracelet with a cross on her left hand, along with a set of black, ornamented gloves for her to use whenever she needs to touch anything. As an ornament, she wears an old-fashioned cravat with a hint of modernity, with the purple amethyst as a brooch and a set of semi-transparent, bat wings attached to it. Going down, she wears a black corset with various silver marks and golden straps that keep it in place.

For her legs, she wears skinny, leather trousers with a golden belt that goes across the top of it, with three, navy-blue roses sewn together with leaves sticking out of them and a semi-visible black textile underneath them. For shoes, she wears the same coloured high heels reaching to her knees, made from the top-quality material, having small pompoms behind and giving her an extra 3 inches to her height.

As an additional note, Fortuna is never seen without her signature feather fan of deep blue; often used to make others sway at her appearance, she’s also great at using it to protect herself due to the… Custom modifications she ordered it with.

In nutshell, she's just fucking hot and you can't say anything that would otherwise state differently.

Personality

Fortuna is a very charming person, as she enjoys talking to people around her in a playful manner, in order to waste some time off of her busy schedule. Anyone that had the experience of talking to her on more than one occasion - whenever it would be at work or over a phone - can say that it is quite an experience, either due to how she can speak for hours without others getting bored or her outstanding skill at persuasion if she’s looking for a sale or a contract.

Due to her reputation of having a great eye for detail and how diligent she is with her work, she finds it very easy to make people trust her with their items or prices that she gives them for their antiques. It also helps that she’s very confident and proud of her achievements, always using them as a way of reassuring others that they are getting the best possible price for their item; a lot of people decide to trust her, especially for her above the market prices, always complimenting her for her professionalism and her calm but not submissive demeanour.

She’s also very resourceful and thrifty, as she uses everything from her arsenal to get the best possible outcome, while also making sure to not waste anything for nothing; after all, as she values her skills and time, which is why she’s always picky with who she decides to serve properly if someone would decide to ask her to appraise something for them.

Of course, while everyone sees her as a perfect, independent woman that managed to get over the tragedies, she is not without her flaws. Fortuna is quite self-centred and abrasive, especially to those that have the attitude of telling her she’s wrong when she clearly is not. She always sees herself as the most important person in the room due to her wealth and power, but that’s reasonable for someone with her influence, right?

Creation Origins

Fortuna had quite the rocky journey to being one of my favourite OCs of all time. At the beginning, I wanted to create a sadistic bitch character due to me having roleplayed only good people in the past years. So! I created a design ands tarted looking for ideas. Somehow, I came across the word 'Floccinaucinihilipilification' and I got an idea of a VERY Extra Appraiser that calls herself an 'Ultimate Floccinaucinihilipilificant' because she thinks her original title undermined her skills in appraising forged goods.

However, when I shared that idea in one of the servers, I got a backlash saying that 'she was too extra' and that 'the title doesn't work', which made me rather self-concious about her and her concept. Luckily though, for once, I decided to ignore them and wrote her up either way, getting accepted into both places I applied her to and having a wonderful time. Moral of this story? Don't take everything people say to heart.

Roleplay Experiences

Unseen Chaos

In Unseen Chaos, Fortuna was the traitor that was sent in from the outside, in order to try and rescue the people inside of it. However, due to her disliking the cast, she simply caused trouble under the excuse of 'luring the mastermind out' - such things included thievery, vandalism, threatening and utter aloofness to dead bodies. She made one(1) 'friend' there, however they killed and left her behind.

The roleplay sadly died before the reveal of her being the mastermind, but either way, it was a nice place to try out Fortuna in her rawest form.

Forgotten Fears

Similarly as in Unseen Chaos, Fortuna was a plot role. However, instead of a helpful traitor, she was a megalomaniac mastermind that wanted to be a goddess of a new world. Throughout the entire rp, she grew '''close''' to one person and tolerated a few, and yet no one ever called her out on her personality. Quite ironically, as the roleplay progressed, people started to become worse than her, which was rather humorous. And yet, despite her desire for world domination, she still found it in her to pity the wolves that died in one murder, treat someone that absolutely despised her and even assisted with self-defence toward her '''closest''' ally.

Sadly at the end, she was executed as people teamed up with a suddenly-appeared person that had the same desire as her. A shame, but at least the bitch's dead :)

Relationships

Jerome Silver

Her EX-Boss who owned the Pawnshop before she took over it. It is unknown what sort of relationship both of them had, as Fortuna doesn't talk about her personal life or relationships with people mentioned in the public. However, if his son is to be believed, he was a greedy businessman that preferred to take a nightshift than return home; he probably wasn't the best of people, if one can guess from this testimony-

Mason Silver

One of the only public *and* known relationships that Fortuna has. Since the death of his father, the pawnshop fell into his arms, however instead of continuing the business, he gave it to Fortuna after she reached the age of 18, moving himself to Europe to pursue his dreams of becoming a hairdresser. He is the only person that she ever mentions in an obvious, positive, light. Many theorize what's the true relationship between them, but no one dares ask that.

Othello Onisto

Her partner in crime - they entered a bussiness relationship when both of their establishments became quite popular; in exchange for cheaper appraising and other help like that, Fortuna is able to advertise herself in all of his hotels, while also always having an opportunity to take a room with a 50% discount~! A perfect trade. Not only that, the two of them share the same hobbies and are often seen together.

• Fortuna's name is a reference to one of the antagonists in a show called 'Librarians' where she took luck away from people and ended up becoming a gold statue;
• Her real talent is the 'Ultimate Appraiser', but because she specializes in appraising worthless objects, she calls herself the 'Ultimate Floccinaucinihilipilificant'
• The personality of hers is what Bong-Cha was before I scrapped her - a confident bitch that knows where her place is and won't allow anyone to step on her turf,
