Description
Anyone would look at Cael and think of him as the very definition of angelic: dressed in soft pastels and clothes as fine as gossamer, and sporting pure white wings adorned with delicate gold filigree, it’s hard to see him as anything but a divine visitor from Heaven itself. However, despite his ethereal looks and displays of nobility, it’s common knowledge that Cael is not in fact an angel, but a harpy- one so obsessed with angels that he’s gone through a plethora of medical procedures in order to look like one. This has led to his unique line of work at the club Heaven’s Night, where he acts as a roleplayer of sorts for all kinds of folk...from Hellborn demons who desire to relive their days of violent conquest, to lowly humans wishing for a taste of the divine, and while demonic blood runs through his veins, he plays the part of a virtuous angel alarmingly well...but do not be mistaken by his practiced poise and initially gentle demeanor. Cael is every bit as sleazy a demon as all the other Hellborn that carouse about Elysium, he just does a very good job of making it look presentable for his clientele.
Personality wise, Cael is sharp-tongued and a touch haughty. Though he knows he’s no angel, he believes himself to be just as good as one, if not better. He has a low tolerance for stupidity or obnoxious behavior, and much like other harpies, Cael can be extremely vicious and cruel when he feels like it. In spite of these scary traits, many find it quite easy to converse with Cael. Perhaps it’s because of his golden voice, or his ease with carrying a conversation when the company is right...or maybe, his unappealing traits are overlooked so that his beauty can be admired. Who knows?
All that matters is that divinity is not too far away, should you wish to taste it.

Trivia
- He keeps his old eyes preserved in a small jar. It’s pretty macabre, but he adores them.
- Same thing goes for his legs, too. He’s had them stuffed and preserved with magic; he even keeps the talons perfectly manicured!
- Cael’s current eyes are completely bionic, and he can change anything about them down to the color of his iris and the appearance of his pupils. He usually keeps his eyes blue, but will change them to green from time to time. Depending on his mood and what he’s going for, he might even go without pupils!
- Though he no longer has his talons, much of his harpy strength still remains- especially in his arms, hands, and thighs, all of which have not been replaced. They have been medically altered, but only to permanently remove his feathers.
- Cael nails the angel look so well because of the sheer amount of dead angels he’s had the pleasure of seeing during the war. None were safe from his scavenging, and a lot of his knick-knacks and outfits were stolen from actual angels.
- Cael’s obsession with angels started when the war between Heaven and Hell was just starting to ramp up. After stumbling across a wounded angel left to die by his fallen brethren, Cael fell in love...but it was not healthy in the least. The angel was essentially held captive by Cael, and treated more like an idol than a person. After their death and the subsequent destruction of Heaven, Cael’s obsession only grew stronger.
- Cael is actually the name of the angel that started his obsession with angels. He adopted the name after he made significant changes to his body to appear more angelic.
Although Violetta is an angel in the flesh, Cael does not hold her with the same reverence as he does the angels of old. In a way he pities her for her pitch black wings and unproud demeanor, believing Violetta to be a failure of an angel, even if she’s Fallen.
An upstart pain in the ass. Asphodel hangs around Heaven’s Night far too much for Cael’s liking...it doesn’t help that Asphodel is under the impression that they’re friendly with one another either. If Asphodel wasn’t so friendly with Staz, Cael might very well have already ripped the Hellforged demon apart by now.
