Profile

I love him so much

Ignore his bio rn, I need to research and change bits but I figured I'd get something down while I remember my idea
He has way more detailed development in my head/notebooks I promise

Scipio was growing closer to his life's mission of being the greatest cat in the history of the Roman Empire... or the world entirely.

An accomplished Centurion with big dreams, Scipio had been steadily climbing his way up the ranks of the Roman army with his cunning tactics, finely tuned reflexes and general lust for war and winning.

The felines under his competent leadership worked together as a well-oiled machine, a true example of the Roman military might.
A cat of great ambition and military skill, he's always been keeping an oversized ear out for any opportunity to show-off his potential and achieve his greatest dream - to go down in history.

Scipio's observations had led him to discover the ultimate tactical position, an undiscovered underground cavern, which would lead him and his soldiers directly under the stubborn remainders of the army they had been besieging (unsuccessfully) for months. It was a siege against the least skilled of all their enemies, a group of simple farmers practically, yet it had been at a stalemate for weeks, an embarrassment on the soldiers involved and the Empire itself. If Scipio broke this deadlock he'd surely catch the notice of his superiors and prove himself a competent commander, this might give him an edge to finally achieve his dream. And so, he readied his men, under the noses of the rest of the army (he didn't want to tell them of his discovery in case they stole his glory) and set out to prove himself.

The walls of the cavern had lain untouched for centuries... unfortunately Scipio, eager to truly lead the way, was the first to discover just how sensitive these rocks were. With a shouted command to his men Scipio soon met his demise, struck squarely in the skull by an extremely heavy rock, loosened from his shouting. The impact doesn't kill him instantly, he is graciously allowed to witness the shocked cries and sudden retreat of his troops before the pain all but consumes him.

But then he woke up. He had a killer headache but was very much alive...? How can this be?

Blah blah blah he becomes part of the Agency, a time travelling organisation dedicated to making sure the Plot of the universe continues as it should and prevents Plotholes and Spoilers... a job Scipio hates and resents. He spends most of his time trying to get back to his old life and continue the military career he's been working towards his entire life... although as his horizons broaden he realises there is more to life than war, and becomes rather conflicted. And also very angry. Everything makes him angry.

He comes from a universe where cats are the dominant species, but otherwise the world develops like ours (similar geography, goes through similar periods of history) until the Victorian era when it veers away and becomes an anthro feline steampunk world. The steampunk bit is never relevant for Scipio but I wanted to develop the world a bit more so yeah.
Although I do have some ideas about Scipio finally succeeding in getting back to his own world and finding it unrecognisable... that'd be good angst.

Because of the world he comes from, he tends to get along with felines better than anyone else. Not in like a speciesist way, he just finds it hard to wrap his head around the idea of humans and other animals... not being animals, but he's getting there. The same way some of the Agency humans find the anthro animals weird.

In the past in his universe, wilder felines were more common. In the present steampunk era servals are extinct and pretty much everyone is a domestic feline of some sort. Due to being a serval Scipio was taller than some of his smaller wildcat fellows, but smaller than the big cats like lions/etc. He is around the size of an average human.
This means when he does manage to get back to his world, he is much bigger than everyone else (who are all the size of like... 8 year olds) and looks a lot different to them.

Art Notes

His gold laurel leaves are usually not optional
Feel free to draw him with the outfit on his ref or any other roman centurion gear
You don't need to get his markings accurate I find them a bit confusing myself lol, as long as they look similar
