Without a sufficient exchange of emotional and physical contact, whales will begin to gradually lose their sanity. Bombaya was once a very shy and reserved girl who would hardly talk to anyone, always watching action from afar- only ever sticking around her best friend. Bomby was in love with this whale, but was never brave enough to express it. When her best friend found someone else to seriously bond with, Bomby went into an envy-charged hysteria, locking herself in her and isolating from everything but her favorite kitchen knife. When whales attach to objects, it helps slow the process of insanity down, but it’s not enough to substitute for the biological need for another lifeform’s warmth. When she emerged from her room, she was already half-broken. Aware enough to act normally in public but increasingly desperate to bond with whoever she could. Now she needs someone to love her back, and she’s willing to do anything to make sure that no one gets in the way of that need. What will you be, the lover or the obstacle?
