a shadow who was misunderstood by many, he was a troublemaker but not evil. Walter pissed off the wrong witch and was forever cursed in his black form, he wanted a way out needed a way to be free. So when he saw Kathleen taking the shadow powers from her teacher, he saw that as his way out. He let himself become absorbed into Kat, and bonded to her. Now they have a weird friendship that couldn't be broken, while she studies her new found powers.
Walter finally admitted his feelings, well more like was ravished by Arty and had no choice than giving into his deepest desires for him. So now he and Arty are somewhat together because Walter is pretty much connected to Kat he and Kat share their emotions, thoughts, and feelings for other. Especially when it comes to Arturicus they bother can't get enough of the sexy booty pirate.
Walter is a shadow his true form has not been seen by anyone not even Kathleen. Because to him, his true form is too scary, or creepy for mortal eyes. Walter just takes on different forms of humans mainly, especially since in Darksun there aren't that many humans around. He has found out that fem boys are his favorite forms, with his sassy attitude it tends to work. He thinks of himself as a sassy black lady stuck in a while males body, and it works for him so that's how he is.
When it comes to powers you won't see him use much besides teleporting, portals, or maybe his shadow tendrils but that's pretty much it. Unless you piss the Walter off he might shift into his shadow death hound form, not something you would like to see.
Walter is one of the sons of the death deity Moria. He does indeed have the powers of the death deity, but he tends to not use them ever. Because his mother has persistently bugged him to become one of her reapers, and he doesn't want to.
