Scarlet was the youngest of six children, and as the last in line to the throne, she often got overlooked in favor of her older siblings. As a result, she quickly learned not to rely on others, and spent most of her time researching magic in hopes to prove she could be useful. However, there would come a day when she dove a little too deep in her studies, and managed to access the Void.

The Void attached itself to Scarlet's soul, slowly consuming her from the inside out. Predicting that she would simply be brushed off yet again, she didn't bother asking for help. Instead, she isolated herself even further, dedicating all of her time and energy to finding a way to free herself. She tried everything she could think of, but nothing worked. Finally, she resorted to prayer, begging the gods to cleanse her soul. They didn't answer.

Furious, Scarlet declared that if the gods didn't deem her worthy of divine intervention, then she'd become one of them, and do it herself. Some shit happened that recently got changed and I need to rewrite it so we're skipping over this for now.

Now, as a magic storm rages over the palace, causing Scarlet's magic to become increasingly unstable, she knows that if she doesn't find the source of the storm and destroy it soon, all of her work may be for nothing.
