Catachai

The first leader, and founder, of Kanaka Helu, Chai is a human from the Earth Phase. 

He's worked as a nomadic sailor throughout the Great Ocean for much of his life, though he regularly returned with gifts for his widowed mother regularly throughout this time, until, after a long assignment working alongside temple-builders in the Fire Phase, he returned, and she was shortly murdered after. Realising the killer had been trying to kill him, and that he had nothing left to cause him to stay, he left his home city, and set out to make a community of his own, first travelling to the capital of the Earth Phase, Ming Bai.
