I suppose you can look, but you cannot touch. Fair?
costumes... i want to see.
Ah, what an accomplished man you are, Mister Prescott. Not many strive to such great lengths with the passion you have. Even I have to commend it, and I'm not American - hah! Nevertheless, it is an honor to meet you, dear. Something tells me you will be one of our more... distinguished guests.
Haha! Thanks for the compliment! Somethin' tells you'll be nice to hang out with also! Oh, what do you think of my outfit? My mom made it for me, though admittedly someone like you would probably do better, I still like it though!
It is always a pleasure to meet another artist. Would you be so kind as to indulge me on the subject matter of your work, Miss Murakami?
Ah, flowers? Perhaps geraniums or camellias. Lilacs are lovely as well. What of you, dear?
...
{{What kind of flowers do you like the most?}}

{{I'm a fan of anemones myself}}
Hah. I assure you my nails will be fine. Gloves exist, no? Clearly you can't appreciate beauty when you see it.
Prissy little thing. Careful - you'll chip a nail.
Of course I do, it's free advertising. Nail art however, hm. That depends now, doesn't it? Are you experienced in tinting nails with red oils? Otherwise I am afraid to say it wouldn't be historically accurate. However, I am not opposed to a manicure.
Costume design! Florence, do you like to wear the costumes you come up with? I think adding some extra flair with some nail art would be a wonderful finishing touch to some of them - and, it'd be awesome if you could be the person to do that with! What do you say? Is it your kinda thing?
Oh, sewing? Most of it is simply trying new techniques and failing, learning all the while. But if you insist on some wisdom... then never start with the fabric you intend to use /without/ creating a mockup from something cheaper first. It'll save you many tears. And yes, the mascara is stylistic. Not everybody could pull it off, hah.
You know, I've recently taken a fancy to sewing and making dresses...I wonder if you could teach me a thing or two? Aha! Oh, but have you been crying recently, Florence? Is the mascara a stylistic choice? Perhaps I've much more to learn than I first thought!
The mascara is for the aesthetic, but clearly you know nothing of that, Mister Melnikov. I have been to many galas and related events, yet it seems like you have not. Hm. If you desire expertise do let me know, I would be happy to share a little about /etiquette/.
What's with those mascara tears, miss? You don't seem like you've got a lot to cry about in that pretty dress with your hair all dolled up! Don't wanna come to the gala? I'm sure it'll be a great time, y'know.
Tsk. If you must go for an insect-themed outfit at least /try/ to make it look better. Why not utilize some beetle-wing embroidery, hm? I quite enjoy it, but if you insist on a ladybug theme there are much better ways to do it. Goodness.
Oh. Ah... Um. I mean, I didn't make this outfit, I just ordered it. I'm glad you like it, I guess. I thought it was pretty extravagant already-- it's fancier than most of the things I wear. If you'd like to alter it, by all means..!
I guess it's only natural they would invite someone like a costume designer. When I see someone like you, I wonder why I was invited in the first place. Did they really think we would all get along.
Ahhh, Mister Creed... What a pleasure to meet another old soul. We must chat over tea sometime, dear, discuss our passion for our work and the like-! Perhaps I could even design an outfit for one of your reenactments, now doesn't that sound lovely?
Why, Miss Jones, it'd be a pleasure! I actually do want to ask you a couple questions about your work - maybe over tea you could give me a few pointers for my own costumes? Unless it's a trade secret, of course - eheh, but either way I'd be honored. I mean, golly, a specially designed outfit? For little old me...?!?!? Is a free ticket into the reenactment grounds a worthy exchange, or should I start on some trinkets of my own...?!?!?!??!
Ah, the sports type, I see. I assume you find your work quite enjoyable and accomplishing then? ... [long pause] You have my respect, not many can handle the dedication required.
[there's a long, long beat.] thank you. your, um... you have my respect, too... your kind of work must take skill.
