The runt of his litter, Pet was born a frail and weak pup. His mother didn’t think he would make it, so she abandoned him in a doghouse behind an unoccupied home. Miraculously, Pet did make it, and soon made friends with Redfur, a female red wolf who lived nearby. They became close friends, and Pet developed a crush on her, though, he was too afraid to express his feelings. Eventually Redfur becomes mates with another dog, and Pet is crushed. This prompts him to run away, and he starts fresh in a distant city which is populated by dogs and other canines. In time, Redfur finds her way to him, and after some time and understanding, they become mates and live happily together in the city.
