Shrapnel

Shrapnel is made of recycled “retired” warforged that served in the military and spare parts. However, being made of other warforged that were once living had unintentional side effects. They now bear traces of memories that do not belong to them. Memories constantly fade in and out, and occasionally cloud their judgement. They have a hard time distinguishing what is theirs and what isn’t, so they feel the blood on their hands for people they have not even killed. But thanks to these memories, handling weapons comes with ease, making them a skilled sharpshooter.

Shrapnel is an envoy created with the specific purpose of being a guardian/companion to their lonely creator. Shrapnel is loyal to a fault and lived to serve them. They lived a very nomadic lifestyle alongside each other, traveling to areas afflicted by poverty or disease (warforged are immune to such) and helping out the best they could. But their creator was susceptible, and fell ill. She passed away, and soon the memory of her started to die out as well, but they still feel that spark, and urge—longing for something more. For a long time, they continued on without her, still traveling village to village. but they soon grew weary. Feeling devoid of purpose, they fell into a deep hibernation, awaiting someone to bring life to them once more.
