Personality

Being such a young pup has its advantages for a little bug like Lumen. He has the energy and lung capacity to chase after the tropical fish in the reef he lives near. He dives after them, even so far as to chase them down into the drop offs where the sun begins to disappear in the depths and things get salty. He never goes far, however, as the darker reaches of the ocean hold the fiercest of sea monsters. With that, he slinks back up to the reef where the light is bright and the fish can be seen. This fear of darkness is one of the disadvantages of being such a young pup.

Many would say 'there's nothing in the darkness that wasn't there in the light,' but oh so many are wrong. There's always a darkness. Where is light, darkness must also exist, and the same could be said about people or places. This darkness, or fear of the unknown, keeps Lumen's wish to socialize at bay. Others are unknown, and unreadable. You never know what they are thinking underneath their smiles and kind words. It is this fear that envelopes Lumen, keeping him from truely enjoying the company of others, and fulfilling that need of companionship. He is lonely, always lonely, but hopefully one day, someone will come along and help shed some light on Lumen's fear, and draw him out of that shell made of darkness he's been hidden.

Physical qualities

Lumen has the body of a wolf but the tail and dorsal fin of a shark. His main body is a tan, with a blanket of greyish brown. It travels down his back and covers his shoulder and flank. There are brown ripples around the swoops. On top of that is a darker brown that follows the same patterns except without the ripples, there are hollow circles that bud out randomly. There is a plain white on his throat, chest and feet. His hair is the same color as the topmost brown with green tips, and straight pink horns about as long as his ears. His four fins are colored with bands of orange, yellow, green and sea green.

Powers, abilities and skills

Lumen is a fantastic swimmer, and can hold his breath for long periods at a time. He has extensive knowledge on tropical fish and their habitats.

Fun Facts

-Lumen lives in a rocky cave you can only reach by swimming at average tide. At high tide the cave nearly floods, leaving a small cove where Lumen keeps all his items of interest and things that aren't water resistant. At low tide holes open allowing fresh air to enter the cavern and keeping enough oxygen flowing through.

-His cave has several 'rooms' that could accommodate more makos, but he just couldn't bring himself to let others know he hadn't room.
