Gornal is a man of few words, but his actions make up for that tenfold. A proud knight of Dozel and longtime soldier of House Neiros, Gornal has proved his mettle on the field of battle time and time again, as well as proving himself a capable and reliable servant. It was for this reason that when the Neiros heir was found to bear Major Holy Blood, the task was given to Gornal to mentor him and prepare him for his eventual role as leader of Dozel's territory. Gornal accepted this assignment and set to it in the same way he handles the rest of his life: with steadfast determination and a careful hand to ensure that the job is achieved to the best of his own ability.

Backstory
One hundred years ago, the second Holy War between the Loptyrian Empire and the Crusaders blanketed the land in war and darkness. One hundred years ago, the crusaders defeated that darkness and Seliph took his place on the throne, and began a long reign that would ensure that Jugdral could rebuild, and experience an age of peace and prosperity. It was during this reign that Gornal Alpin was born, and during this time of peace between nations that Gornal trained under the head of the Neiros house. Taking well to the definitive weapon of his homeland, the axe, Gornal quickly rose through the ranks of the Dozel soldiers, and should he have desired joined the Grauenritter: Dozel's elite axe knights. Instead, Gornal decided to stay by his mentor and liege's side in House Neiros. Thus, taking all of these considerations into account, it was a simple matter for the nobles of Dozel as to who should take on the task of training Justin, the first to bear Major Holy Blood since the last holy war. Gornal, though unsure of his ability to train a child properly, took the task gracefully, understanding that should Justin prove an incapable ruler the already stained reputation of Dozel might never recover.
Present Day
Gornal's most recent mission saw him and Justin assigned to a small group of traveling warriors to fight the shadows that were once again spreading over the land. Facing bandits, corrupt nobles, and even dragons from a far off land, Gornal has done everything in his power to make sure that as many people as possible live to see the other side of this conflict that has erupted across Jugdral. Importantly, however, he has been faced with the flaws that hide behind almost every heir to the land, and the struggles that accompany being a crusader's descendant. It is these that trouble Gornal the most, for what has he done besides perpetuate that cycle with his young squire?
