large, strong builds . lion-like anatomy, but slightly larger . body is typically a dark colour or pattern . the white fur reflects light and appears very colourful . has long, firm claws . mirror has a peculiar symbol at the bottom, and orbs decorate the tail and face .

mirrorface is non-sentient and acts only in its own favour . they are not capable of becoming self-aware, and do not care for others . in its eyes, if something moves, its likely prey .

they live on consuming souls . if a living thing were to look into its 'face' for too long, they become entranced and their soul is trapped inside . the body lives on, but the being appears emptier than before and usually just sinks to the ground . the mirror can replay scenes of past victims, and sample bits of the 'memories' into speech or simple messages to attract others toward it so it can prey . mirrorface does not have its own voice, so any roars it produces are actually botched up voices of its past victims .

it is possible to retrieve a soul before one's demise by shattering the mirror, but this requires not looking directly at the creature . if saved in time, the soul will escape and return to its body, but the being will seem blanker and emptier than before .
