Ivan

He's VERY prideful

Ivan being a 'demi-god' (half celestial) has given him super strength. Leaving all of the villagers in the town he grew up in to constantly praise him when he'd help them with heavy tasks. This gave him a MASSIVE ego as he grew up. As he got older, he overtime started charging for his services to help his adopted mother, Katie with finances. He quickly became wealthy and bought himself a mansion farther south of his town and moved down there. One day, two strangers approached him asking to make a wager. The 1st stranger said if he won a race against his companion he would give Ivan twice his wealth. Ivan didn't care enough to hear the conditions if he had lost since he figured his super strength would be enough for him to win. He lost :p. And the 1st stranger continued and said that since Ivan lost, he had to give up his mansion and his wealth. After that he went back to his village to tell his adopted mother what happen but found that the town had been burned down as a result of a neighboring territory feud.  Ivan grieved for what he felt was an eternity. He then went back to helping with smaller tasks again hoping that he could get somewhat of his fortune back.
