Hayashi cares for a shrine dedicated to Sukuna-biko-na. The shrine also doubles as an onsen resort where people come to recuperate, as the waters are said to have healing properties. Hayashi himself is very knowledgeable in herbal medicine and keeps a carefully cared for herb garden on the premises from which he creates remedies and the like for guests that need it.

He's not very talkative, but whenever he does have something to say you can be sure he's speaking from the heart. His blunt manners tend to rub people the wrong way, however and usually comes as a surprise due to how soft-spoken he is. Fiercely protective of his home, the tasselbun will protect it, and its residents with his life.
