Design Notes:

• Plant bits on butt, shoulders, and head are Salicornia depressa (aka Virginia Glasswort), a salt marsh succulent
• Built like a Marsh Rabbit
  • Average build
  • Short ears
• Heterochromia (irises are red on top and green on the bottom)
• Inside of mouth is red like the inside of their ears
• No paw pads (because he's a bunny)

Character Notes:

• Begrudgingly accepts Hal as a nickname, but HATES being called Pickles
• Specializes in salt marsh ecology
• Extremely salty at all times -- has a complaint for every situation
• Makes glass art and soap in her free time
• Puts salt on/in EVERYTHING: salty fruit, salty toast, salty licorice, salty tea, etc.
• Some of his happiest memories are of growing up in a salt marsh, which is why he decided to study coastal ecosystems. But he hates admitting to having happy memories, so he usually gives far less sentimental answers when asked why he chose  his career path.
• Mostly makes soaps with earthy and herbal scents and then wraps them up in recycled cardboard and gifts them to her small circle of loved ones, regardless of whether they like the smells in question.
• Hilariously, he rarely makes use of his own soaps because he gets so wrapped up in his work and hobbies that he forgets to bathe. He always seems to be crusted in a mix of salt, mud, and ashes.
• Her glass art alternates between abstract glass sculptures and scientific illustration in glass form. He uses both to decorate her house.
• He and his little sibling, Mimi, were orphaned when Halwyn was 14 and Mimi was 4. They were taken in by a sweet flowerbun named Rosie after they lost their parents.
• Now that she's an adult, Halwyn lives alone with no housemates. Just teh way she likes it. (She does visit Mimi often, though.)
