He passed out. He met a strange tom while he was unconscious. He offered information that he knew where his friends and family were. On the condition that he would have to take the tom's role in life. He accepted and woke up on impaled spikes. He then met Merula who kept calling him "Estor" and realized that this was the tom's life he was now living. He still sees the tom in his dreams where they can discuss things. He hopes after this war he will finally be able to see his friends again.
