"We may recognise our own morality, yes, but most often we strive for what we think the world owes us." Castalla regarded her, her words, with narrowed eyes, visage veiled in suspicion. "I suppose I did not believe I was evil until I came upon your world and saw the cost of my many mistakes."

"Mistakes?!" A snarl caressed Castalla's words, lips pulled back in anger as her narrowed eyes flashed. "A mistake is forgetting to douse a fire, not tearing apart your world and destroying the peace of another to make up for it." Her words, spat from furious lips, illicited nothing in the Terevaen's dead eyes, as though all feeling had drained from them centuries ago.
