🍑 NEO

Raised for the first couple years of his life by the person who created him. Grew up in relative seclusion with only his 'parent' to keep him company, really. Said creator probably praised him a lot for uniqueness and often referring to him as "The one and only NEO". One day while exploring, he happened across a discarded coffee mug that had "I ❤️ NEO ARCADIA" and, as a result of his naivete and perceived originality, mistook the NEO part as a theft of his name. Took it personally and embarked on his mission: to beat up whoever slighted him. Making his way towards Neo Arcadia, NEO finds himself faced with a barrage of enemies dispatched to deal with someone named Zero, which confuses him greatly. Why would he get mistaken for someone else? He's the one and only NEO! He manages to steal an enemy weapon, and despite his general inexperience with firearms he manages to fight back against the waves enemies, steeling his resolve with each attempt by Neo Arcadia to destroy him. Eventually runs into Zero and the resistance and has a bit of an existiential crisis, but joins in nonetheless thanks to the common enemy. Not the biggest fan of Zero, especially when some Resistance members keep accidentally confusing the two of them, but he tolerates it and keeps his boiling anger under wraps. Probably resents his creator now for lying to him for so long. Continues to be pissed because Neo Arcadia won't change its name even with its shitty copy of a leader destroyed, but he's maybe started coming to terms with it along with his own status as a copy as well. Also continues to fight with the Resistance as well. Idk, he isnt super developed rn so this all might change LMAO Finds it really funny that Zero ends up being a copy as well, but the humour is short lived when he remembers that this development means NEO himself is a copy of a copy. Has another existiential crisis.
