dean is a bear. he short and lazy and really strong despite appearances 

the mask is special in that it acts as a kind of mouth; he doesnt actually have one behind it but the design on the mask changes to mimic talking or facial expressions

"how does he eat?" he doesnt, i guess. lets just say hes solar powered or fuelled by rage for being born so short
