Frey

Poor families don't have the best opportunities for their children. This was just a fact of life for Frey, and he saw it in his own home and all the ones around him.

Most of the time, there would be enough money for food (only one or two really bad months, filled with his mother's gambling addiction rearing its ugly head worse than usual, had them going hungry), but he and his little sisters didn't have nice clothes, didn't have new toys- everything was worn and used, and sparse.

With a father out of the picture and a mother trying her best but struggling to support two children, Frey did what he could. And at 16, what he could was join a gang.

It's not like he was ever a bad kid- a bit of a class clown, but friendly, and not going out of his way to bother others. Until the gang- gotta do what you gotta do.

So he'd keep telling himself.

Things didn't end up going well.

Driving the old junker was always slightly terrifying- it hadn't stalled yet but Frey always feared it would- and when a rival gang catches sight of you, recognizes you, while alone at night?

At least the car crash killed him quickly, and Frey couldn't help but feel a little relieved. This way, he isn't messing up any more, isn't stressing his mom and sister with the gang stuff they disapproved of so much. This way, maybe his mom would have enough money to better take care of his sister, focus more on her.

It was probably for the best.

• His pupils are star-shaped
• Has scars circling his upper forearms, across the bridge of his nose, and a few other minor ones across the rest of his body

• His spirit is named Croax, and is a chaotic mask spirit- meaning it is unstable and brittle, but very powerful with magic, thus making Frey pretty talented at using his cool powers too
• He's been a diab for two years, and so far is loving it- the full severity of his situation doesn't usually bother him, and he's happy to have a blank slate. He was in a bad place when he died, and unable mentally to try and right the path his life was taking, so death was pretty convenient, especially since he got reborn!
• Can be sort of unstable emotionally, when he gets stressed or reminded of his past too much
