Deryll Williamson

Deryll Williamson is a friendly & down-to-earth black man who owns and operates La Vie En Rose Patisserie. He has three degrees: one in baking, one in culinary science, and one in business. He grew up in Montreal, and spent about a decade after graduating working at a high-end patisserie there. His husband grew up in Maine, and Deryll immigrated to be with him, and then set up La Vie En Rose. It had been his dream since partway through university to eventually open up his own shop, and he's very happy to finally be living that dream. He expects a lot from his employees, but as long as they live up to his expectations, he is a generous & flexible boss. While he loves actually baking, he is normally too busy with the business end of the operation to do much of it. when he does make food, the staff and customers both see it as a special treat. in his spare time, he reads a lot, from business magazines to trashy romance novels.
