- 【 Backstory 】
- Alice Originally Lived in a small neighborhood in Zoneton. She was always known as a bright, outgoing, and somewhat strange kid. She liked creating things out of whatever material she could find, which lead to her interest in sculpting. Her parents were both very supportive of her, and made sure she grew up in a nice environment. Unfortunately, when Alice was 8 years old, her mother died in a brutal car crash while she was pregnant (the baby unfortunately died as well, it was going to be Alice's brother). This traumatized Alice, and for a long while it turned her from the once positive and optimistic kid who was always social no matter what, to a humble, very sensitive child who didn't talk much and isolated herself. While Alice's dad also had a hard time coping with the death of Alice's mom, he still tried his best to encourage Alice to keep her chin up by giving her positive advice and love. He even worked extra hours often so he would be able to financially support his daughter. Alice did okay in school, she had a good amount of friends and was able to easily get along with anyone due to her overall positive personality. This unfortunately also led to her having a few bullies as well, as not only was she "weird," she was also gullible and easy to fool. Not to mention her strange interests (such as collecting bugs, especially seemingly injured ones, and attempting to care for them. She also built things out of random materials) also made her a target. Surprisingly, Alice didn't seem too fazed by the kids picking on her, and only seemed to be bothered if it had to do with her friends, her bizarre “sculptures”, or the pet insects she kept. In middle school (second quarter in 7th grade), Alice met a boy named Eric, who seemed to really like her. Alice felt bad for him after he revealed his dark past, and Alice decided to befriend him, which quickly led to them being in a relationship. Everything went well for a while, until Eric’s true colors decided to show. He started to get mean toward Alice, constantly belittling her and insulting her, and even occasionally threatening to hurt her. He started to use her for his own self gain, and whenever something went wrong, Alice was always blamed for it. This troubled Alice, who started feeling hurt and neglected. Alice tried to cope with this situation by telling herself that this was normal, that he was probably just in a bad mood or that it was normal to get into arguments. Her father quickly found out about her relationship and how bad it was, and told Alice that the relationship she was in was unhealthy and she needed to leave it. It was hard for her to do it, but she eventually decided to break up with him. This infuriated Eric, and he started spreading false rumors about Alice to make her look bad. As a result, Alice ended up getting bullied even more than usual. Even though Alice did have a lot of friends who supported her and tried to help her, the bullying still ended up being too much to handle. Alice's father decided to take her and move away (they already had to move to begin with, due to Alice's dad not having enough money to stay in their big house), and send Alice to a new school. At this new school, Alice noticed a kid who was sitting by himself, and decided to sit next to him. This kid was Cain Smith. She tried constantly to get him to open up and talk to her, and over time he began to trust her and began talking to her. Both of them ended up having quite a bit in common, they both knew how to play a musical instrument and liked music, both of them liked old games, and their viewpoints were similar in a few areas. Alice as a whole changed a bit after meeting Cain, she ended up getting into the same things Cain liked that she never considered trying out (none of these were harmful), and hearing his outlook on certain aspects of life inspired her. After witnessing the incident in which Cain brutally beat his bullies, Alice was shocked and even a bit upset, but at the same time she expected it, since he had talked about fighting back if they messed with him. Alice had tried to talk Cain out of doing it, but Cain ended up doing it anyway. Despite that, she was very forgiving of Cain, and tried her best to console him after the incident, which helped the both of them. Their relationship began getting healthier as Alice kept helping Cain, with Cain gradually starting to show more signs of happiness.
