Kaji is a Shaymin originally from Sky Peak and a founding member of Team Sunfluff.
Best friends with Avin from a young age, the two agreed to leave Sky Peak and become explorers if they ever got the chance. However, this timeline was greatly expedited after tragedy befell Shaymin Village. After accidentally escorting the thieves directly to the Time Gear, Kaji was barely able to rescue Avin before the paralysis consumed the entire mountain.
Now members of the Cosmos Guild, Kaji is wrestling with guilt and PTSD stemming from the event. He has vowed to right the wrong that he believes he caused and return the Time Gear to Sky Peak, whatever it takes.

- Kaji typically prefers to be in his Sky Forme whenever possible, so being stuck in his Land Forme has been very dysphoric for him.
- He values his friendship with Avin greatly and would do anything to protect them. He is completely oblivious to any sort of romantic feelings that Avin has for him.
- While normally very confident and cocky, Kaji has begun to doubt himself since the fall of Sky Peak. As a result, he now defaults more to Avin for decision making.
