Ourania Agapi may seem confident at first, but once you slowly get to know more about her she breaks the initial appearance and becomes much different. She’s had an elven father who abandoned her mother after finding out he was a parent but despite this she was able to grow up well. One could say she’s an “Adventurer”, but she just picks up jobs that work within her abilities.
Ourania stands at five feet and eight inches with an athletic hourglass figure. Her hair is the same color as her blue eyes and is cut in a hime style. Her outfit is a mix of modern fighter and robes of yore, with her left side being fitted with robes. She has a satchel on her right side enchanted akin to a bag of holding and an enchanted katana for a weapon on her left.
Personality
Ourania is naturally confident but yet not overconfident, she’s willing to work alongside anyone and will talk if approached. Though she keeps this up whenever she’s working, which usually will be how you meet her. She’s often at home whenever she does have time off, or out at a friend's place.
When you get to know her outside of work however, the script is flipped, she’s much less reserved and more able to speak her mind freely. She rather has some choice words about nobility and the upper class as it's rather personal on why. Beyond that, she starts to soften more and becomes much more down to earth and cares much for people who she feels comfortable with.
Trivia
- ● Ourania is left-handed, as opposed to Darnista who is ambidextrous. Her left hand is fitted with an enchanted gauntlet to help channel spells into her blade.
- ● Ourania has been an OC from 2019, but was given a redesign from those days and outside of the group she was made for yet still having callbacks to the initial design. Chemie and another OC are in the same situation.
- ● She’s of Greek nationality and has a firm grasp on English and Greek. She just prefers to speak English, she does write her own notes and journal in Greek however.
- ● The worst thing you could do infront of her is to intentionally ruin food while cooking. She despises the current trend of people pretentiously cooking food online.
- ● Frost magic is her favorite element to cast, the reason why? “Sometimes you need to give someone a chill pill!”
Abilities
Ourania is a very capable hand to hand fighter, if her blade doesn’t work she knows multiple elements to cast in combat. Her one weakness is long ranged spellcasting, her magic is inaccurate beyond 50 feet. She does know how to fight with kickboxing and bare-knuckle whenever magic is out of the window.
She is most proficient in casting magic for enchantments and transmutation, with frost magic being a close second. Beyond that she has a strong grasp on arcane, lightning, fire, and healing, the one magic school she has much issues with is darkness and holy magic.
Backstory
The lore
Ourania’s parents were a human mother and an elven man. The affair was one sided, Nilas Silverpine was a noble trying to get more influence in the human side of the world while Eliawen Agapi genuinely loved the man. Despite getting married and having a relationship for two years, Nilas left the woman once he found out he would be a parent.
Despite the heartbreak, Eliawen had enough friends, her own parents, and of course therapy to recover. The one thing she wanted after it was over was for her child, Ourania to be happy and to never have what she went through on her. She was born without issue and was welcomed into a small, yet caring life.
Despite leaving them, Ourania had some of Nilas bloodline and that in turn, led her to have normal education be cut off and instead referred to magical training. Other students were purely focused on magic yet she focused on both, leading her to pick up physical training and swordplay during education. She was referred to a guild who trained fighters who trained in both blades and magic and when she was 17, she was welcomed into it.
She devoted most of her time there studying more about enchanting and transmutation and it led to her advancing to the upper ranks of the guild and officially donning the mantle of “Spellblade” at 23. Afterwards, she came back home to help out her mother before leaving and traveling the world and after finishing things up, Eliawen told her the entire story of Nilas as she only told her that it was “A bitter mistake” until then.
Ourania took the news as well as you could hope, after leaving the house she grew up in and out into the world she had a hatred for Nilas, and a disdain for nobility as a whole.
Most of her life from that point onwards was picking up odd jobs for money and traveling the world. By the time she turned 40 she was finished traveling and sightseeing before changing goals, to revolutionize the magic of Enchanting.
She bought an apartment and began to research everything there is to know, while training to make sure her skills wouldn’t become rusty. When she was 47 she met an alchemist dressed in pink and after repeatedly taking offers from her, they grew into a strong friendship. She often checks up on her and still is impressed where she went in life.
