Ethan (Brennsville)

brennsville, brennsville, brennsville. brennsville is the name of the tiny town he was booted off to to lose his humanity. 

he's seventeen, and after a particular rebellious outburst, he's locked up in a facility under the town hall by the new mayor, who's running the town dystopia-style and has some... convincing to do to him. 

he's brainwashed. he loses all free will and becomes wholly devoted to papers and files and sitting at his desk doing his secretarial duties for the establishment he stood against. he's a shell of what he used to and should be. everything is logic and numbers and working, working, working. 

it's not all bad. he plays sudoku in his free time (though he doesn't like having free time very much). he has authority over most other workers given he has everyone's files and gets to condescendingly exploit it. it's loyalty and certainty of failure that keeps him from stepping out of line. he feels... safe. secure. how could life be this good for him on the trajectory he was on earlier?
