Urai

Urai is a memory god. More specifically, a god who's domain is to   help people suppress memories that are harmful to their sanity, or are   simply something a mortal should never know. More commonly, his duty is   to help people naturally forget things, through the memory decay most   humans don't even stop to think twice about. Thanks to this lackluster,   but important role, he is very powerful, but lacks following. He has  no  worshipers. He has never been put in a book, or even properly   acknowledged. Eventually this motivated him to preform a ritual to   condense himself enough to take up inhabitance on the mortal plane. 

Such   rituals require a great sacrifice however. He chose to sacrifice all  of  his memories, save for how to alter memories, and his importance.  Now  adays, he continues to do his duties subconsciously, while  exploring the  mortal world for himself. Clinging to the rare few people  who don't  require his aid in order to remember him, while learning  what it is  exactly humans get up to.
