Obscurus is the shortened form of Lux Obscurus, meaning "obscured light". He developed a collar and claws when he began to dabble in acts considered to be forbidden, believing he could make some good of them. As a result he became a bit of a recluse, but he remains willing to befriend those who come to him for help.
