softspoken military brass with a frail constitution, his specialty is mixing poisons and waging biological warfare with his extensive knowledge of herbs and chemistry. he's a bit of a germaphobe and especially hates letting his bare hands be touched by other people, so he's constantly wearing gloves (it's rumored that his hands are incredibly soft, delicately taken care of and manicured underneath - they seem to be a bizarre point of pride for him).

he finds people in general to be rather unpleasant, and prefers the company of the plants in his small greenhouse. he adores pink flowers, poisonous ones especially, and is usually seen with a sprig of oleander tucked into his hair or a uniform pocket.
