Profile

Seket mir Salhrad

Seventh Princess of the House of Vahsir; She Who Walks Her Own Path

Female - She/Her pronouns

Age: Late 20s

Race: Solfhal'in (sun elf)

Abilities: Magic - A kind of heat-energy control that she can use to create discs, which she wields like chakrams. Can also use them to stand on, allowing her to dance through combat like a dervish. Though not especially rare amongst the solfhal'in, especially those of the older bloodlines, Seket has spent years refining her skills to become an impressive user.

Personality: Stoic, cold, intimidating by choice. Fiercely loyal to those few she'd count as close to her though she'd never use the word friend, and would never admit her feelings for fear of showing weakness. Ambitious, but oddly honest for a politician. Prefers to state facts, rather than scheme and hide behind fancy words and half-truths. Has a strict moral code that she won't waver from. Doesn't suffer fools, gladly or otherwise, and will show her distaste for someone clearly.

  • Accepted by her family but knows she isn't treated equally as her sisters. Feels as though she always has to prove herself more capable, no matter how her parents claim otherwise.
  • Detests physical contact of any kind.
  • Sexual, but restrained. Doesn't like to show eagerness and is impatient with those who do. Compliments will get you nowhere. Prefer to watch and instruct others.
  • Vegetarian
Relationships: Aruna [closest ally], Pain [acquaintance, trusts her honesty], Ennis [tolerates him, but doesn't trust him yet]

Involvement in The Dread Morrows

As the youngest Vahsir, Seket's duties are mainly diplomatic. When word of an impending invasion by the Unseelie, banished to the Liminal centuries ago, reached her father's kingdom she was instructed to find allies, though the task she was given was so simple Seket believed a child could have done it. Her father suggested she go to King Constantin, a young king and recently crowned, but commanding an enormous army brought to heel after years of civil unrest. An easy ally, as he was eager to find friends after such a hard-fought victory over his half-siblings to claim the throne. Seket, knowing that King Constantin wasn't a man to be trusted due to her friendship with his sister, Queen Aruna, instead chose to ride to Chariss, Aruna's tiny kingdom, much to the anger of her family. When challenged, asked how she would dare to deny orders when she has been allowed so much freedom 'despite her choices', Seket was heard to say: "I have made no choices, only decisions. You think I should be happy with these crumbs you throw at my feet? No more, you have enough children to replace me."

Currently, Seket travels with a small cadre of loyal servants to Chariss, knowing she has changed her life in a way she can never reverse.
