Aria may come off as cold and calculating, but she really cares for the people around her, especially those she considers family. However, that changes once she smells blood or engages in combat. She becomes hostile and bloodthirsty, having difficulty differentiating friend from foe. The only person who she always considers as a friend is her plague doctor. Her plague doctor has developed a way to calm Aria but, it does not work all the time. Her relationship with her plague doctor is a leader-follower relationship. When she's calm, she is following her doctor's lead. When she's in a rage, she is basically leading her doctor.
