Glimpse lead a merry band of rogues throughout the forest for many years, inheriting the position from her mother. Crane's Band of Rogues moved into TreeClan territory and after some minor scuffling, Glimpse decided that the best course of action was to infiltrate the Clan and take it over. Thus, she sent her 3rd in command, Fowler, to seduce some naive maiden and slowly sank her claws into the naive Clan. Taking on the name Cranestep, she never gave up her power, giving her fellow former rogues orders and managing their interactions with the Clan members. After managing to marry into the leader's family, through a low-ranking rogue, Cranestep began swinging her weight around, easily manipulating the short-sighted and trusting Treestar. Soon enough, she was having him enact policies that would help her young comrades advance in this small little work and it was just a bonus that she was able to push Frogear not only out of the deputy position, but out of the entire Clan. After convincing Treestar to release the Rootbound Laws, Cranestep attempted to attack Lynxthroat, a younger warrior who spoke out against her. However, Beartooth got in between the pair in an attempt to save the molly and was killed by Cranestep for his efforts. Treestar refused to punish Cranestep and this alienated a large portion of the Clan. A war suited her fine. More influence. Frogear lead her allies to found MarshClan.
Cranestep was then promoted to deputy, naturally, and immediately sent a patrol after the budding MarshClan, hoping to be taken seriously as a threat. However, that backfired and Treestar lost a life and two warriors died. Now, Cranestep seethes and waits for her next opportunity.
