Shrikestone

Shrikestone is a munchkin cat. He is very insecure about his small stature, and has always worked hard to prove that it didn’t define him.

As a kit, he was a kittypet named Bandit, but his twolegs were cruel and took him and his siblings away from his mother when they were barely a moon old and tried to get rid of them with a sack and a busy road. Luckily, the bag of kittens was found by a warrior patrol before any monsters came and all of the kits escaped unharmed. Nightclan sent a patrol to see about the mother cat, whose name was Oreo, and she agreed to come to the clan for the safety of her kits. When her kittens were weaned, Oreo decided to take them back to the twoleg place. While she was thankful for the help that Nightclan had provided, she thought that the life of a kittypet would be safest for her litter. Bandit, however, refused to go back and be adopted by new twoleg. Oreo talked it over with the other queen in the nursery at that time, Ivyclaw, and she agreed to look after the young kit as her own kits were about the same age. After Oreo left, Bandit was renamed Shrikekit in honor of his face markings that looked so much like the bird. 

When he became an apprentice, Shrikepaw found that many of the things that the other apprentices did easily were difficult for him.  Since he was teased for his height, Shrikepaw stayed up late many nights, practicing his training over and over. When Shrikepaw began easily dispatching apprentices with twice as much experience, the others stopped laughing.
