Ichigo the Charizard

Ichigo was a Charmander given to a trainer tackling the Kanto League Challenge in Pokemon Yellow. He was raised to be one of the star members of the team, up until an Eevee named Seraph came into the picture. While he did fully evolve into a Charizard, and the pair were the strongest of their team, Ichigo resented her for being the star while he was forced to lag behind.

One day, during an Elite Four rematch, Seraph was knocked out, and Ichigo failed to land a hit on the opposing Pokemon, knocking himself out and costing them the match.  The trainer was unkind to Ichigo for his mistake, and Ichigo decided to lash out at them in turn by destroying their cartridge. This, of course, destroyed their world and functionally killed them.

The two were given another chance in the form of a return to Kanto in a game called Let's Go Eevee!, and Ichigo sought revenge before this iteration of the League Challenge could finish. Seraph fought back, and in the end, she won their bout, and insisted Ichigo seek peace. Seraph eventually parted ways with her trainer for good, if only to make sure Ichigo got the attention he needed this time.

Seraph and Ichigo basically were made real with the power of love from their trainer--even if a good portion of it was once directed toward Seraph. The other members of their team weren't quite as lucky. His soul, or data so to say, persisted partly because of that love, and partly pure spite against his old trainer.
