Marina is a cheery and devoted girl loyal to the sport of swimming and the feel of water in her paws. She loves the sea, adores the feeling of traversing the water, and absolutely lives for the rush of battling the ocean itself. So much so- that she made a career out of her great swimming ability and dedication to the sport. She's had plenty of issues with it thrown her way (What with her advantage-of-a-tail) but she doesn't care, all that matters is that she's happy, and she'd do what she loved regardless of the board's decision on it.

She tends to be in her own world most of the time, and most who know her will say her mind is always at sea, lost in the swirling waves. She is friendly and definitely polite, but its hard to get her to open up if you're trying to get her to talk about anything other than her sport.

She's always felt a call towards the sea, and really can't explain her love further than that.

She does enjoy quiet nights in, and loves watching movies while tucked in blankets on her couch. She prefers quiet solitude and just enjoys being alone most of the time. She likes to meditate and work on herself and keeping up her good attitude first and foremost in any free time that she has. 

Marina is a swimmer who got her start in her youth, utilizing her fish-like tail to excel in water-based sports. Soon picked up by agencies she skyrocketed to the top of the competitive swimming circuit. She became quite popular for her optimistic and bubbly attitude, and her smile won her plenty of sponsorships and free rides. But this came with its fair share of controversy. The legality and fairness of her natural benefits became a striking point of contention between her and her fellow swimmers and the moderating league that soon set out to bring her down by shady means after it was ruled "Fair" under the grounds that she couldn't really control what she was born with and wasn't intentionally cheating.

No matter what they do to try and stop her, she just keeps smiling her way through everything thrown at her with the same can-do attitude she always had. She doesn't care what people think or what they want from her, she just wants to swim. That's all she ever really wanted. The water is her home and as long as she can still return to it, everything else is only a bonus. Sure- she loves being able to inspire others and have fun in contests every so often, but it's never been her real motivator.
