Xaber cares far too much for his friends and the innocent civilians than he should. He tends to put everyone above himself, thus neglecting his own mental health and also putting people to expect far too much out of him until he's overloaded. Smiling on the outside, he acts tha martyr so that others do not worry about him or think that he can't handle things. Inside, he is extremely self loathing and thinks he is an absolute failure.

Xaber grew up in a very restrictive family. His father, the family patriarch, expected the best out of Xaber. His two older brothers were off doing travelling service to the poor, to keep the family name in a good light. Status has been the only thing his father worried about along with having all his children bear a crest. Any non crest bearing children were sent away, to a place Xaber has no clue about. The family did not talk about it much. His mother died giving birth to him, and none of the other kids have the same mother. Xaber's only memory of his mother is a small painting done by a friend of her's.

Xaber was sent to the academy to learn and find his purpose. His brothers graduated before, and he is expected to as well. Anything less than perfection is seen as a failure, thus Xaber often doesn't sleep, instead studying and trying his best to make up for any self-perceived failures.
