The Forgotten Goddess

A goddess that can communicate and control spirits with her spiritual device: a jade flute. She's the bridge between the spirit and mortal realm, maintaining peace. However, due to unforseen wicked forces she lost her memory, her device, and was spirited away from her domain to the mortal realm, forced into a deep sleep.
Hundreds of years passed and Kimiko finally woke up from her slumber in an eerie forest, alone and confused. All that was left was a strong yearning to find something precious to her but not knowing exactly what that thing is.

Summary
After the unexpected death of the previous God of Spirits, Kimiko was born as the new goddess of Spirits and was immediately loved by all. Countless of shrines could be found in the Southern region of ShunYun. Kimiko in return cared deeply for all her worshippers. She loved humanity and promised to keep them safe from harm.
Kimiko's main duty was to keep the balance between the spirit and mortal realm by exorcising evil spirits and helping lost spirits cross over to be reincarnated. Corrupt officials and murderers, after their death, would become vengeful spirits and wreck havoc amongst the villagers. Sometimes it'd be a wandering spirit unwilling to leave; still having an attachment to the land of the living. Kimiko would then play her jade flute to soothe the spirit guide them to the spirit realm where they can rest in peace until their reincarnation.
Every once in a while, spirits would be born from corruption itself, absorbing negative energy and becoming powerful spirits taking on beast-like forms and desiring the taste of humans, especially their souls. When these spirits are born, entire villages would be wiped out in a blink of an eye. When word reached the heavens Kimiko would waste no time and begin to fight. She's defeated hundreds and hundreds of these creatures in the past, never worrying over her well-being, pushing herself to her limits every single time. When the battle came to an end she'd play a departing song for the spirits, hoping that in some way they'd be able to rest in peace.
Design
• Her body type is pear shaped.
• Hair length must always reach below the knees, the gradient starting from the second braid-fold.
• Hairstyle must stay the same; braided
• Her gradient thigh markings must look smudged/blurry compared to the white crescent marks
• Never forget the red eyeliner, it's a must

• Her jade flute was made from her own scales, making it unbreakable and overflowing with spiritual energy

• As a goddess, Kimiko can change forms, but her true form is the most powerful
• After disapearing for centuries, Kimiko no longer has any shrines dedicated to her so she is essentially the poorest Goddess alive

Mao Lin | Bodyguard
Mao Lin's family have sworn their loyalty to protecting the goddess of spirits for many generations. Growing up together Mao Lin grew very fond of Kimiko and her love of humanity. Mao Lin wishes to remain by Kimikos side for the rest of her life.
Hyorin | Acquaintance
After defeating a spirit, Kimiko stumbled upon Hyorin's inn, enticed by the delicious aroma she went in and fell in love with the dumplings that Hyorin made. She would make frequent visits whenever she had the chance.
