He works as a model, mainly in a photography agency, but freelances when he's in need of some extra cash.
Rodrik doesn't get paid a lot for his main line of work, which makes him feel unsatisfied with his current job, but he doesn't try to quit nonetheless fearing he may not be hired for another job.
Because he doesn't have many connections and isn't that great at networking, he feels stuck at his position.
Pretending to do something or having a certain attitude in front of a camera is easy enough. Acting confident for real, though, that's when things get tricky.
Even though he's a model, Rodrik struggles with being forthcoming when he's not modeling. Whether it's his gestures or the way he talks - no one would ever take him for what he does for a living based on his personality. He's a meek little thing, (even though he can't exactly be called 'little' when he's sporting 1,87m) and suffers with anxiety. The process of posing and modeling actually helps him cope - You can focus your thoughts somewhere entirely different when you're just acting, and your troubles melt away.
