Character

Player is a people-oriented person. The most important thing to him is the relationships that he upholds with the people around him. He slacks on his work often and enjoys chatting it up with his coworkers more than he likes stacking and filing things away. He loves his kid most of all.

Smaller Details

Player keeps a front of a happy-go-lucky demeanor to keep himself from slipping into his depression. He read in an article that if you 'fake it till you make it' then one day you'll be happy, and he takes that to heart. Because of this, the people who meet him only see a happy and jovial man.

Player's love languages are physical touch and verbal affirmation.

Player does not trust himself to be alone. The idea of being left to his own whims and mind makes him extremely nervous. He tends to trail behind people because of this.

Player quite literally lives for his son, Jr. If it wasn't for his little boy, he would be dead by now. He would do anything for his kid, even if it meant getting himself hurt.

Diagnoses

Player has untreated ADHD. He has a very hard time focusing on work, instead laser-focusing on the things he enjoys. He tends to talk his head off when he's around other people. He couldn't afford the medication to treat his condition on earth.

Player also has severe depressive disorder. It's hard for him to get up from bed or put on a smile on some days.

Childhood

Player grew up under the roof of his grandparents - his parents were permanently out of the picture, and he never knew them. His grandparents were abusive to him as a kid. With a strong interest in his culture, he spent a large chunk of his childhood learning Japanese. Once he learned this skill, learning other languages became much easier for him.

This was how Player became the Ultimate Translator. He taught this skill to a child he used to babysit when he outgrew the title.

Adulthood

Player married a woman and had Jr on earth. This woman was incredibly abusive, undermining Player's confidence and his character constantly, until he became a husk of his old, happy, self. She caused a traumatic head injury to their son while they were together, which made Jr go permanently mute. After a long, gruelling custody battle, Player finally won. Player has never forgiven himself for letting this happen.

Player joined the space program to escape his ex, who had been violating her restraining orders and attempting to kidnap their son.

General Plotline

Player noticed Reck when the big guy began taking care of Jr when he died during among us rounds. Jr sees Reck as a secondary father figure, which makes Player and Reck become close friends and then partners. Player is trying to cope with his depression, and sees Reck as someone who completes him. They take care of each other throughout the story.

A Plot

Player's role in the A plot is to keep the peace. Without Player, the people on the Skeld quickly devolve into chaos. Player is an organizer to the others' plans, and his role in debate is most often a mediator or a judge. If he finds out hints about the impostor, his first instinct will be to find Reck and ask if he's noticed these things as well. If the both of them agree, Player will press the button.

Player will always vote to skip rounds unless he knows, for sure, who the impostor is.

B Plot

Player is an active obstacle in the B plot. If he notices that Jr has wandered off for too long, then he will get worried and start looking for him. Jr has to have a balancing act between appeasing his father and committing the shenanigans that he gets himself up to.

Player's favorite song is Born To Be Wild

Player donated his kidney to his brother when he was young.

Player's favorite dessert is Chocolate fudge caramel ice cream.

Player used to wear concealer to cover up his freckles.

When the story is complete, Player is the last impostor. He has a scar on his face from removing the impostor parasite.
