name Robyn Erica Malone
age 17 years
gender Female
race European Mage
magic type Black
role Leader
Witch of Scorching
In many ways, Robyn is the opposite of her sister. She is calm and collected, mature and brave and tends to stick to her own business. If Robyn is motivated and curious enough about a certain topic, she'll often just drop what she's doing and venture out of her home with a desire for an answer. Sometimes, Robyn makes obscure literature references that nobody understands. While she finds her intellectual superiority a little fun to bask in, she wishes she’d meet someone who did understand them for once without an explanation. Robyn improved her heeled booted to have knives on the ends since she was getting tired of Cecelia’s repeated complaints that her heels were “so extra” and “not helping her at all.” She enjoys the new metallic perks so that she can cut someone when she kicks them.
As the eldest sibling, she is looked up to and regarded as the strongest mage of her sibling quartet with destructive abilities others would back away from. However, Robyn herself is a bit fearful of her magic due to both types, fire and acid, being very volatile and difficult to control. She prefers to avoid conflicts in general, and only pulls her wands out when she sees it is absolutely necessary. Robyn's magic is also a known cause for her occasional mood swings, as its fluctuations disrupt her mind's limbic system and cause minor-to-mild changes to her attitude. When using particularly strong magic, her eyes will slightly light up orange. She has a low self-esteem problem deep down, but tries to hide it when in the presence of her friends and family in order to show she's strong. In a way to help, she looks up to Cecelia for strength and courage. Despite always showing Cecelia frustration and hurt towards her, she still loves her as a little sister, even if she doesn't always want to admit it. Robyn can be a bit of an introvert and has a small group of friends she sticks to. If she opens up to someone, they will also find out she's very awkward, kind, respectful, and above all, passionate with the ideals she believes in, the subjects she likes, and especially regarding the protection of her family.

Fire Magic
Robyn is a witch with the dual black magic abilities of Fire and Acid. She has a better grasp of her fire abilities than she does with her acid ones, and typically defaults to fire when in a short-notice fight. Some types of fire magic abilities that she has developed include a long-range flamethrower, fireball projectile, and general heat manipulation. Robyn uses her fire abilities in conjunction with any regular attacks, such as throwing kicks or punches, seeing as her attire is entirely fireproof, except where her skin is exposed of course.
Acid Magic
Robyn’s secondary element, acid, is her less powerful form of magic that she uses. Her body is naturally aligned more closely with fire, but while her fire magic is stronger, her acid magic is more controlled and precise. Some types of acid magic abilities she has developed include a mid-range acid spray, a long-range jet of acid, and an acidic palm to touch surfaces with to burn them away. She usually prefers to use her acid magic for more problem-solving than battling, or as a diversion if the situation calls for it.
Awareness
Robyn keep a close eye on the objects and people around her, despite not always appearing to care or pay attention to anything other than herself or activity. This almost constant awareness helps keep her prepared for any surprise attack or assist in making sure that everyone is still around and present. In combat, Robyn uses the environment around her to aide her and take down a foe that she can't defeat with her natural abilities alone.
Poetry
While Robyn may not be the best writer, she has a knack for poetry and sometimes fills up her emotion journal with random poetry. Her writing is usually inspired by recent events, feelings, or places that she has newly visited. On occasion, she'll take short walks alone closeby to her siblings in an attempt to collect inspiration for a new poem, or to help her sort of her own emotions into writing.
Summary
Robyn lived with her mother, Arelia, sister, Cecelia, and sometimes present father, Wilford, in the town of Aradel. Right from the get go, it was apparent that Robyn was a gifted mage in black magic, almost setting the house on fire when she was about one and a half years old. Arelia cared for Robyn and helped her control and hone her fire magic so that she could keep better them and learn to suppress and hide them from neighboring prying eyes. She spent the majority of her childhood either at home helping her parents or at school learning and studying. Robyn was much more content with the indoors and staying away from other people outside than her sister, and understood the need to lay low and stay inconspicuous better than her too. Using little candles and a metal sheet, Robyn would sit on the floor in her room and practice lighting the candles in a controlled manner, then manipulate the flames after they burned for a minute or two. Eventually, she developed acid magic as well, much to her parent’s surprise, and she had to start training to contain that as well so as to not dissolve everything around her. It was a hassle, but Arelia was determined to raise a strong and capable witch.
With so many people around in the town, Robyn and her sister were hardly let outside to socialize until they started attending the local elementary school. Arelia was afraid of letting Robyn go there with so many human strangers, but Wilford convinced her that Robyn was smart and skilled and could keep her abilities in check. He was less confident in Cecelia later on, but she couldn’t use magic at the time so she wouldn’t be able to expose Robyn at school or any of their family. The two sisters stuck together at school and tried not to leave each other’s side, but Cecelia eventually got sucked away from Robyn by making new friends and hanging out with them instead, leaving Robyn alone to herself. Throughout her years in elementary school, Robyn was fairly alone and reclusive, afraid of hurting someone and exposing her magic which would lead to her whole family’s demise. She was still loved and included into things by her sister though, Cecelia tried to offer olive branches so that they weren’t too distant, but her offerings of connection lessened over time and only seemed to resurface at home once they reached sixth grade.
Leaving Home
Townsfolk began to get increasingly more suspicious of their family and particularly skeptical of their mother, Arelia. A human energy-reader named Baron was the most motivated in exposing Arelia and her daughter Robyn and rallied together a militia, got permission from the mayor, and left to turn her and her children into the authorities as witches. Robyn was coming back into the house after getting the stored wands from the shed but stopped outside, watching the mayor’s officials break in and kill Arelia almost on sight.Robyn was grabbed by Wilford and driven off on his summoned motorcycle with Cecelia, the haunting image of her mother being shot echoing throughout her mind over and over. It was the consequence of exposing her magic, for being known as a witch, and what would sooner or later probably come for the rest of her family. Ever since this moment, Robyn shut herself away from almost everyone with the exception of her sister. Wilford had to leave them a day after escaping after noticing they were being followed. He told them that he would divert the followers away if they ran on foot and headed towards the rendezvous point where they would meet up with their half siblings. Wilford gave them directions and the two sisters ran off while Wilford led the officials away from them. After a few days, Robyn and Cecelia met up with Clair and Harvey, and the four left to go find a better place to stay before starting their journey of self discovery.
Robyn is essentially the "stable" leader of her siblings. They’re all on a journey to discover their abilities and powers and eventually put an end to the despicable plans of a pair of powerful twins they met. While she may not be the biggest ball of joy and motivation, Robyn helps keep everyone safe from dangerous places and also assists in most of the logical planning and thinking her group had to make. Some instances included the times when she allowed Cecelia and Clair to bring along their new companions, Mysc and Cheruby respectively, figuring out where the secret and highly guarded magic-folk bases were located (as their specific whereabouts were to remain top secret to everyone but the elites), and most of the strategizing for taking down threats was left in her hands.
Inventory
Fire Wand (Right Hand)
It was discovered by Robyn alongside its sister wand, the wand of acid, in an abandoned shack several miles from Robyn's hometown. Upon making physical contact with it, Robyn immediately felt a puzzling bond with it, and felt as if it was "familiar." She hypothesizes that it may have belonged to or been related in some way to her mother, who she would later find out possesed fire abilities. Of the two wands, the fire wand feels more natural to Robyn.
Acid Wand (Left Hand)
Similar to its sister wand, the wand of fire, it was unearthed in a scrappy-looking shack a few miles from Robyn's hometown. Just as she had felt with the wand of fire, Robyn felt that she had a strange bond with it and could only describe the peculiar emotion as "familiar." Once she eventually learned that her grandmother possessed acid abilities, Robyn hypothesized that the wand may have had something to do with her. Between the two wands, the acid wand feels a little more disconnected from Robyn, and she doesn't feel as close to it as she does with the wand of fire. It's abilities are quite a bit of a challenge for Robyn to get a grasp on, and she usually doesn't favor it in battle.
Ashen Cloak
The ashen cloak was given to Robyn by her mother, Arelia Malone, for the purpose of hiding her in the shadows of their home when they needed to lay low to avoid any suspicions of witchcraft and pretend they weren’t home. It is made of fireproof material, so it also serves as a flame shield and something that can be easily thrown onto a flame to douse it, which made it incredibly useful when Robyn was younger and learning how to use her magic. Currently, she uses it either as a cape, a hooded cloak, or a hammock to carry larger supplies over her shoulder
Book Bag
Robyn’s book bag is her main vessel of storage for all of her tools, food, water, collected items, and of course, books. Seeing as she only ever attended grade school for a few years, she was not educated in 6th+ grade subjects. Wanting to learn more and increase her knowledge, she collected books from libraries her siblings and she traveled to so that they could learn more. Robyn stores all of her books in her book bag until she returns them to another library and is usually able to carry around 3-4 at a time before it becomes full.
Journal
Robyn’s most passionate hobby, writing poetry, is mostly done in her private journal that she doesn’t let anyone read. She stores her journal in a secret flap inside of her book bag and makes sures nobody else ever gets ahold of it. On a few occasions, her youngest sister, Cecelia, had successfully stolen it, but has never gotten the chance to read it before being flattened under Robyn’s heel. Clair is sometimes allowed to read it as long as Robyn gives her permission before doing so. Robyn tends to write other things into her journal besides poetry, such as important notes, sketched maps, emotional vents, and reminders for her siblings and herself.

Cecelia Malone
Cecelia is Robyn's younger sister, with an age difference of two years. Robyn and Cecelia, having almost opposite personalities, do not often get along very well. They view circumstances very differently (Robyn thinking very rationally and planning out every step, whereas Cecelia goes with her gut and charges straight in), and they often break into fights. Cecelia, while a huge pain in the neck for Robyn most of the time, still respects her and wants the best for her. Both, while they may not admit it, have a very strong love and need to protect one another, and anyone coming into the other's way with will be met with fire and fury from their sister. The relationship between Robyn and Cecelia can be summed up as a "hate/love"-ship.
Harvey Arduino
Harvey is Robyn's half-brother, who happens to be the same age as Robyn herself. While he gets along much better with Cecelia, he's still able to have fun with Robyn and he greatly enjoys her cool and mysterious attitude. Harvey and Robyn are often seen sharing plot ideas for one of Harvey's books or Robyn's poems and telling stories to each other, as both greatly enjoy storytelling and reading. Their relationship, while not totally perfect, is still fairly stable. Robyn is very thankful for his polite, but motivating way of thinking and is also very thankful for his great sense of "when not to butt in" and "when to shut up.”
Clair Arduino
Clair is Robyn's younger half-sister, with an age difference of one year. Robyn and Clair are usually able to find common ground and have many shared interests, which allowed for a much more comfortable and stable relationship than that of her relationship with Cecelia. Robyn has a strong respect for Clair and her very passive, "good, obedient girl" sense of morality, and appreciates all of Clair's efforts to help cease disputes between Robyn and Cecelia. Clair would be the first person Robyn would go to for assistance.
