Sweet berries ready for two
Ghosts are no different than you
Ghosts are now waiting for you
Are you dreaming?

A sweet lambie, Johanna seems to put all her effort into seeming like she's stepped straight out of a fairy tale. Her cottage is kept spic-and-span, the roof all golden thatched straw and wattle-and-daub walls, a kitchen full of fresh-baked goods and flowers plucked from the nearby Starsweep Meadow. A charmingly crooked rail fence just peeps out from a garden that bursts with color- flowers of all sorts, as well as a number of fruits and vegetables, the most notable being a particularly delicate, sweet, and intensely red variety of strawberry! Her days are pleasantly full- tidying up, baking, visiting friends and neighbors within the area and perhaps dropping them a sweet or two... but most of all, caring for her plants.

She calls it all her garden, but quite a lot of it is a farm- almost a dozen little berries and nuts, an apple and pear orchard she shares with Johnny, fields dedicated to a number of culinary flowers and herbs, and of course, more strawberries. She's even got a section of the orchard given to non-fruiting trees, where you can find puffball mushrooms the size of basketballs around the autumn months (and a variety of others- but everyone just loves puffball hunting season!) Stray behind her charming home, though- or simply pay attention to the trees looming above it- and you'll find a... different sort of garden, carefully contained by a much thicker, woven fence. Hemlock shoots springing near the roots of bright-berried yew, while small patches of wolfsbane and belladona lend an eye-pleasing (if not worrisome) pop of color; and that's not even getting started on the mushrooms you may encounter. Practically every deadly plant that can be made to grow in the area can be found there, all as carefully tended as the chamomile and blackberries.

A bit of a strange fascination, perhaps- but Johanna adores them, knowing their history and how to safely handle them... and it's always kind of funny, when someone asks for a tour and she can reply with 'the death one, too?' Perhaps the fascination comes from her interactions with Gideon, a (non-lambicorn) death entity who had made the forest his home quite a long time ago and whom she quite literally stumbled into, trying to find a place to live- the section given over to poisonous plants is, in fact, his home. The two still often meet for tea, usually once a week or so, spending the afternoon discussing mortality and theology... or how the newest planting has taken, and hasn't Merrill's cow just had the cutest little calf? Johanna also often opens her cottage up to anyone passing by who may be in need of a warm drink and a good talk, however light or somber the subjects may be. This even extends to the dreams she brings- they are undoubtedly unsettling ones, as you'll often find yourself in an endless field of strawberries or wildflowers that all look a little too identical, but she'll be there with a cup of tea and honeycakes, happy to talk about whatever may be weighing on the dreamer's mind. Usually their fears, and it can put a bit of a damper on the day ahead... but most awaken still feeling at least a little more at peace, even if they can't quite remember what was said.

It's also worth mentioning Johanna, nowadays, is often seen in the company of a little strawberry-patterned fox creature, and has taken to wearing a rather lacy, ornately decorated key...
