PERSONALITY
Adventurous: He loves a good adventure and challened. Valentyn isn't above dragging his class off to do in-field studies around the academy. He'd love to sneak along with the Exploration class to learn more about things.
Flirty: Intimacy is his thing. Val loves to be near people and flirting is rather fun to him. He'll flirty with everyone unabashed and only the headmistress could probably knock some sense into him.
Touchy: Val is a very touchy person. He will touch someone's shoulder or arm as he speaks to just feel that closeness to another being. If not his arm, his tail may wrap around someone's leg or arm, probably causing alarm to the other person.
Fun-loving: To make Herbology more fun, he isn't above making things into a game. Find the poisoned inedible herb amongst the edible, non poisonous herbs, anyone? Well, he wouldn't go that far, but he does try to make his lessons as fun as possible. He doesn't want to be a stick-in-the-mud like the stereotypical teacher!
Impatient: Not the most patient. When there is nothing to do, he can't wait till the next day. Sometimes he'll even sleep the day away so he can go to a world of dreams rather than sit on a bed and stare at the ceiling.
Naughty: Pranks are fun to him, and if he thinks he can get away with it, he isn't above pranking fellow teachers or his own students.
Optimistic: There is no such thing as sadness to Val! He'll try to cheer other's up, and he rarely lets himself get upset or depressed.

Blessed Items: As long as it's blessed by a priest of the church, it can harm him. This can be any object or even holy water. It'll send him running and cause him immense pain if they touch him. If fatally injured with such an item, he won't be able to heal quickly and can easily be killed.

Holy Incantations: Can be forced to leave a room and the like if someone were to start reciting it. It drains his energy and can make him ill, which, if not taken care of, can result in his death.

Magical Traps: Things like Demon Traps can keep him stuck in the small area until he can find the way to break through. They are rather annoying to him, and unless done by someone more powerful, thay are less harmful and more energy-sucking.

STORY
HEADER
Living life in the shadows of the woods, Val lived amongst a group of similar demons. Created from the souls of the damned, he retained the memory of the life he had before coming such a being. Before, he'd been a suicidal teenage boy who had moved to drugs and sex to appease his depression. When it became too much, he ran to the forest and hung himself, thus becoming a demon of the forest style persuasion.
He'd lived for hundreds of years within that forest, moving into the small Polish towns around him to learn the arts of herbs. He found them fascinating, unlike other's of his kind who couldn't wait to escape the world of the trees and bushes. Finding a small child in the woods, he took her in and healed her. The girl wasn't afraid of him, and became attached to Valentyn. She would bring him foods and books to the forest, helping him learn. As she grew, he looked on fondly, proud of who she was becoming. Even as she went through rebellious stages, she continued to find him and help him learn.
It wasn't until she was a young adult that he realised something a little too late. She was abused in her home and ended up taking her life the same way he had. Hoping she'd join him in the demonic realm, he was disappointed, yet grateful, that she didn't become like him. She was too pure before the act of suicide.
