Gil's twin - despite the high degree of resemblance, actually non-identical!
Abandoned because the traditional belief in Gil's family is that twins bring bad luck - thus the parents must get rid of one of them in order to avoid disgrace. Once Dima found out he had been discarded in that way, he was overcome with a desire for vengeance and concocted a plan to somehow kill his sibling and take his place as the golden child of a rich noble family.
