Personality

Pyrite is often seen as bitter, cold and distant, being just like her mother back when she was in her youth. She has one or two close friends and loves them dearly, but prefers to be alone than spend time with them, which they understand completely.

Pyrite (or Jinx) is a fairly quiet pony with a lot of patience, and takes her role as royalty very seriously, often looking for solutions to complicated problems, and often does her mother's duties.

Appearance

Pyrite is an orange-cream colored pony with a white left front leg up to her knee, and a right back hoof. A cream diamond and bridge are also present. Her mane is magenta with golden-yellow streaks and a light magenta streaks and pink eyes. Her magic color is red.

She is a unicorn, but is also a few inches taller than most unicorns with stronger magic and more focus. (Twilight believes it is because she has an alicorn mother.)

Relationships

Twilight Sparkle (Her mother) Pyrite and her mother have a love-hate relationship, often arguing, but they also clearly care about one another.  Her mother constantly tries to push Pyrite to making friends, and often declines which turns into many arguments between the two. However, Pyrite doesn't mind doing some of Twilight's duties from her to-do list from time-to-time.

Sunburst (Her father) She never met her father, seeing as he passed away due to a complication on a discovery trip. She admires his magical capabilities though, and sleeps with his cape on her bed as a way to feel close to her father.

Felix She considers Felix her older cousin, often enjoying talking about magic and books. He is a very snarky creature usually, but when he spends time with Pyrite, he doesn't mind toning his behavior down to match her comfortability.

Tanzanite Zanite is her best friend, and the only other pony she will consider a friend. He is a selfless kind colt that always puts others before himself. He is her person clothing designer and does it without hesitation. She pays him, even if he insists she does not need to. 

Story

Like many of the mane 6's children, she was born out of wedlock. However, she was loved nonetheless and was cared for in the safety of her castle. (The story in my next gen AU is different than how the show actually ended up.) 

As she got older, it was clear that she was not very social, and often preferred to play by herself or read books in her own time than running around and playing. She was never very active and often preferred to stay in one spot than playing tag or chasing a ball. She read a lot of books about magic and often practiced it in her own time.
She earned her cutie mark when she was younger by using a spell she read about to repair one of Twilight's ancient books that had been ruined in a fire a very long time ago, which also had info about artifacts, curses spells and many other advanced and ancient pony knowledge. She began taking care of some of Twilight's duties when she first turned 15, first doing very small simple things, then moving forward to doing more important things.
She does ask Felix or Zanite for help seldom. For example, setting up a ball or an event. 

She now lives in Canterlot 5 days of the week, and spends weekends with her mother in Ponyville, which is where Zanite lives. 

Trivia

● She is asexual, but demiromantic

● She once blew up her mother's kitchen whilst practicing a spell.

● Felix met Pyrite when she was first born and when he was around 3 years of age.

● Pyrite prefers to be called "Jinx" and introduces herself as "Jinx" because Pyrite is fool's gold, and used to get made fun of and called a fool.

● Her most dangerous spell is her one and only dark magical spell. (Which is forbidden in Equestria in my AU.)
