Sachi

Sachi grew up as a temple servant for higher-blood yuan-ti, preparing baths, performances and rituals for those in the ranks above him. For the majority of his life he didn't think he would ever rise above this lowly station.

However, he received an opportunity when the yuan-ti captured a kirin and he had to prepare it for sacrifice. The kirin offered to make a pact with him in exchange for its release. Knowing it was perhaps his only chance at ever getting power, Sachi agreed. The boy ran away after releasing the beast, knowing that he would soon have a bounty on his head from the yuan-ti clan.

With the pact, Sachi received not just celestial power, but something completely unnatural among the yuan-ti- empathy, kindness and positive emotion. Sachi gained a true respect and curiosity for society and the world around him.

Sachi still often has clashes with his patron, who is incredibly lawful and inflexible with her demands. He also has a lot to learn about how 'normal' society works, although his natural charisma can carry him a long way.
