Personality

Kur10517Y-12 is an android with a soul which has wandered Golarian for 43 years and a body which is thousands of years old. Her official name can be read as Curiosity-12, the 12 indicating she is the 12^th soul to inhabit this body. She, however, prefers to be called Syretia which has the meaning ‘a serious, independent and curious being’.

Story

Syretia is, just like any other android, a survivor. Thousands of years ago an interstellar vessel crashed in Numeria. Not even Kur10517Y-3, the soul who occupied their body at that time, knew why they were traveling to Golarion on a mighty ship or why the vessel crashed. Syretia sometimes has dreams of Kur10517Y-3, but never of Kur10517Y-1 and Kur10517Y-2 or of the creation of their body; shrouding their reason for being in mystery.

After the peaceful passing of the soul Kur10517Y-11 or Adore as she preferred to be called, their body was rebuild and repaired by itself over the next decennia. This process should have taken a few weeks at most, but Syretia would later learn in dreams about Adore that despite her passing of old age she had certainly “partied it up” as some might say, leaving their body in a rather broken and abysmal state.

Then, when the body was finally repaired, Syretia woke up. An elf named Keleahin was delighted to finally see her awake after decennia of resting. Keleahin had been Adore’s best friend, and he had promised her to take care of the soul who would occupy her body next. It must have been hard raising the soul of a child in the body of an adult, but Keleahin did what he could.

It was time for Keleahin to leave and explore more of the world when Syretia’s soul reached adulthood too. What he left her with was a small elven knife which had been passed down in his family with the elven word for ‘protection’ engraved into it as well as a name: Syretia. She has proudly wielded the knife and worn the name ever since.

Trivia

Syretia has done the math and come to the conclusion that if most souls in android bodies have the lifespan of a human, it makes very little sense that she is only the 12^th soul to occupy this body which is thousands of years old. This concerns her as this can only mean that there are long periods of time between the passing and coming of each soul. Because of this she takes great care of her body and almost naturally found herself following Irori’s teachings, the god of absolute physical and mental perfection.

Syretia has no gender (or sex for that matter), but prefers for her pronouns to be she/her for convenience’s sake. She has no time for discussions with simple-minded people who can’t even phantom her existence. That being said, she doesn’t mind discussing her existence and what she is with people she trusts.

If asked by a stranger about her glowing circuits and eyes, she will “recount” the story of her family curse in her most monotone voice. With every telling of her fake story she tries to make the curse and the events surrounding it even more obnoxious, just to see how far she can go until she loses her credibility. Her favourite variant of the story so far is the one in which one of her ancestors pleasured himself with the hilt of a cursed sword that once belonged to a powerful, evil magnus.
