Raised by her human father after her high-elven mother fled shortly after her birth, Tethys has spent most of her life searching for the magic she never inherited. Eventually she came across an avatar of Moander — the god of rot — lurking in the woods outside her childhood home, and made a pact: she receives fearsome magical potential at the cost of her presence and touch slowly corrupting anything in her path.
BLOODHUNTER
Tethys briefly found a home with a pack of monster slayers, and found direction in her magic and weaponcraft. Unfortunately, she grew too close with one of its members, who succumbed to her curse, and fled before she became what they hunted.
PACT OF THE TOME
Tethys’ spells are engraved in enchanted ink on her body. She draws them on herself.
HOW QUICKLY THE BLADE BECOMES YOU
Her signature weapon is a set of twin daggers, though she has many more knives on her person.
THE CONSUMPTION
Eventually her pact with Moander will hollow out their body, replacing its contents with plant matter and detritus but forcing her to continue living.
ELDRITCH INVOCATIONS
Some of her signature spells include Eldritch Blast, Cloud of Daggers, Eyebite, and Hunger of Hadar.
