The Tsuki clan had long carried the mission of ensuring balance between humans and the spirit world. As the last member of the family, the responsibility fell to her to enter the Shaman Fight so she might ascertain the goals and personality of the future King.

- The Kuroshi clan were a bloodline of demon hunters turned assassins in the modern age.
- Hao has had past dealings with the Tsuki and regards the bloodline fondly, as they did little to intervene in either his machinations or ultimately his demise. When informed that in the time between his previous and current incarnation the clan was wiped out, he cried for their loss.
- Ame has been invited to join Hao's cause on multiple occasions, but always politely declines him. She isn't sure if it's some odd benevolence on his part that keeps her alive, or if it's his respect for her ancestors, two of which he knew personally. Or, maybe, it's just that he doesn't want the Tsuki's particular shamanic abilities to die with her. Hard to say.
- Throughout most of the Shaman Fight, Ame and her sect remain neutral parties. However, as it becomes increasingly obvious that Hao's victory is certain and his path towards human extinction assured, she allies herself with Yoh in the hopes of preventing the destruction of humanity as they know it. This mostly works out, in the end.
