Lotus

Lotus was created by Porphuros in order to serve him by helping him create in his forge. When Lotus finished, he was left feeling empty and confused, as he had finished what he was made for. Without even saying goodbye, Lotus left Porphuros and wandered for a short time, until he came to a forest and was left confused at the way animals and plants did not seem to have much of a purpose and they continued to procreate without intent, much unlike his own creation. He spent 15 years in a meditative state watching the world around him and came to the conclusion that he knew even less than when he started. He began to wonder again and came upon a secret lodging of worshipers of Kruphix. He learned much from them and decided that, if he wanted any answers, he would need to find them from a divine source. And so he devoted his life to Kurphix in the hopes of one day getting answers. He now lives in a constant quest to gain his god’s favor. He wants to know what is the reason that creatures and humans continue to exist despite there not being a reason why they were created in the first place. He also wants to know how to live without a purpose, as living with the intention of completing tasks has only left him feeling hollow and depressed.
