Appearance: Standing tall with delicate features, Cain gives off an air of poise, like someone you are not meant to actually touch. He appears to be albino with feathery white hair, pale skin and sharp red eyes that give the impression of someone who is always thinking.
Personality: One of the first noticeable things that come from talking to Cain is his intelligence. As an ancient vampire that has been around since the 1600's, Cain's wealth of knowledge and understanding how people work is unmatched, and he has used these skills over the years to keep himself in good standings with reliable food sources, and ultimately remained hidden. Cain has not once stood in the spotlight in his many years of existence or in the many jobs he has held despite always ending up in positions of power, instead preferring to silently pull strings in the background. Cain excels in the virtue of patience, knowing that it is in fact true that good things come to those who wait. He is impossible to rile up, and appears to treat life and others as though it were a game of chess and he's always trying to be a few steps ahead. His age has skewed his view on human life, he see's human's lives as close to worthless due to their short existence. However he knows exactly how people tick and is able to tell others exactly what they want to hear, leading to years of manipulating others to do what is ultimately things that are in his favor. His general demeanor is one of who is soft-spoken and kind-hearted, who tries to gently help others.
However, he is not so jaded and distant when it comes to his own kind, and was one of the original vampires to begin forming packs. With other vampires he shows more sides of his personality than just calculated kindness, and allows them to see an aging, cunning, and somewhat grumpy man who is amused with today's youth and has accepted that he will never quite understand them.
Likes: His ability to pass as human, successfully manipulating humans, ornate and gaudy things (the value and desire for gold is something that he finds almost nostalgic as people have always coveted it), red wine, his vampire pack, enjoys helping and teaching younger vampires and is considered a bit of a father figure, his current job as a pharmacist (he enjoys learning new things and finds the advancements in medical technology fascinating)
Dislikes: Strong odors of any sort, getting his hands dirty literally or metaphorically, having attention brought to himself (he abhors surprise birthday parties that the young halfies seem to love), animals (especially dogs), holds a certain level of disdain for humans

Plot: In the present, vampires hide in plain sight- a popular fashion trend is capping ones' canines with gold or silver fangs, so vampires simply cap their fangs and are able to freely blend in with their human counterparts, giving them unique opportunities in experiencing human culture.
Vampires traveled alone in the past, but now they've formed groups for the sake of convenience--these groups conquer territories and defend them; they are a precious source of food. Some groups are far more territorial and aggressive than others, some simply prefer a loose bond and will happily work together with other vampires if it's in their best interest.
Backstory:
Born in Europe and one of the few vampires who was lucky enough to have two vampiric parents that were both around and alive as he grew up. Cain was taught early on about the bleak existance of being a vampire growing up in the 1500's, and learned a life of laying low and being careful. However, his parents also instilled a sense of pride about being pure blooded vampire, and the concept that they are simply misunderstood by lowly, ignorant creatures.
Due to his upbringing, Cain enjoys a sense of power in the manipulation of humans, and one of his earliest jobs was working his way to being a priest in a small village. Here he began turning others into half-blooded vampires, and this set the foundations for his later teamwork with other vampires, a now modern-day system used by vampires in the city. He has lots of pride in the Vampire race as a whole, and is one of the few older vampires that does not discriminate against halfies, instead doing his best to help all young vampires thrive in this modern era.
Relationships:
Delano- A vampire halfie that he's practically watched grow up among his time in Cain's pack. Cain enjoys his quiet demeanor and willingness to follow orders, and if he had to pick a second-hand man he would be high on his list. Delano looks up to Cain as both the vampire who turned him and as a father figure, but their relationship is complicated in the sense that Delano was once human and Cain took that from him. However, this doesn't particularly bother Delano as that was a small portion of his life, and Cain has treated him well and helped him grow up into the strong man he is now.
Kier- Another halfie Cain converted long ago and has been a member of his pack since. Kier is broody and hot-headed, and has more violent outbursts than most in the pack but is also lavishly devoted to Cain and protective of the pack. He wouldn't hesitate in putting himself in harms way for others, and Cain likes to dote on him, only strengthening those parts of his personality.
Alyosha- A halfie from another vampire pack in the city that Cain currently resides in. Cain is quite interested in him in that he see's his younger self in his manipulative nature, and is also amused by his outgoing and loud personality. The two are quite compatible, as they have found out from their few interactions, and Cain would be interested in taking him under his wing if he wasn't so impulsive and stupid.
Coco- Another pureblood vampire who he has put together as Alyosha's boyfriend, he knows that Coco shares with him being an older pureblood, the two having met once in Barcelona long ago, and the two often reminisce about the past. Their relationship generally friendly in nature, despite having very different ideologies when it comes to the value of human life. Cain finds it absolutely hilarious that Coco doesn't let Alyosha know that he is the vampire that turned him, and the two share that secret as Cain keeps a tab on Coco and Alyosha from time to time, genuinely interested in both of them.
